Why this stage is underrated: Technology is rarely the problem. Whether the works council nods, IT pulls along and your staff use the apps voluntarily — that decides whether digitalisation lives at your company or is just visiting.
Who will do the building later: In this stage, we jointly find the two or three people who'll become the building team in Stage 3 — usually not developers, but the people from the business side who maintain the Excel lists today and know their processes best. From now on, they grow into it a little with every app. That way, Stage 3 isn't a leap later — it's simply the next step.

The question around the company changes: from “Can this be done?” to “What do we do next?”
